Side Torpedo
Description: Children swim using freestyle kicks in a side position. Arms are fully extended.
Technical Goal: Stable body position and controlled kicking in a rotated position.
Coach’s Message: “Lie on your side like a torpedo!”
Game: The torpedo glides straight without wobbling.
Execution:
- Side position in the water.
- Head slightly facing forward.
- Legs work continuously.
- Swim short distances.
Progression: Switch sides while swimming.
Observe:
- Legs sink → “Belly and side up!”
- Insecurity → reduce speed
